Chip’s Marine Service operates under my direct efforts and also in conjunction with other Marine Industry Professionals such as Engineers, Technical Service Representatives, Manufacture Associations and Consultants as applicable.

With regards to my own relevant background, I am an Independent Marine Technician and possess 33 Factory Training Certificates from Mercury Marine, Yamaha Outboards, OMC-Johnson/Evinrude E-Tec BRP, Mercrusier, OMC Sterndrive/Cobra and Suzuki. I have worked professionally in the Recreational Marine Industry since 1978. My successful roles in Marine Dealerships include Service Foreman, Warranty Administrator and Service Manager. Most distinctively I am a former Marine Manufacture Technical Service and Sales Representative.

While the overwhelming majority of Marine Technicians are self-taught or receive informal or uncertified training I have received my core training from leading Marine Engine Manufactures which use a well structured formal curriculum in combination with direct supervision, very detailed and critical reviews of Marine Associations and work-products, as well as mentoring and professional development programs.

During my 5 years as Marine Manufacture Technical Service and Sales Representative my involvement at the Dealership proved beneficial when working with Manufacture Technical Service Departments, Project Engineers, Marine Dealers and Consumers which enabled me to achieve a win/win situation for all.

I have worked diligently to establish Respectful, Professional and Accurate responses to all Marine Product Questions and Requests.
